Va shon Watkins, who won close to half a million dollars for coming in first at the last FTOPS X main event, become one of the few players own two FTOPS bracelets on Friday.
Watkins outlasted 80 players in FTOPS XI Event 4 to take down a first place prize of $45,927. No stranger to success, Watkins also won the Sunday Brawl for about $80,000 back in November.
The final table was no cake-walk with well-known online players like ClockWyze and PeachyMer vying for first place.
Watkins wasn’t the only winner in FTOPS XI over the last couple of days as a total of four events were played out with TOPTEN, NoParasan and The Universe112 all winning FTOPS gold jerseys and considerable amounts of cash.
The pros were noticeably absent from the last four events with only Jon “apestyles” Van Fleet making a final table in Event 7.
Two more FTOPS XI events will kick off today with entertainment announcer Bruce Buffer set to host Event 8 No-Limit Hold’em Knockout 6-Max at 2 p.m.

One of poker’s most controversial figures, Prahlad Friedman, was winning pots left and right yesterday as Spirit Rock on UltimateBet.
Friedman is perhaps best known for going deep in the 2006 Main Event before eventually falling out of contention in 20th place. Friedman faced considerably criticism from the poker community when he accused established pro Jeffrey Lisandro of not paying a $5,000 ante in the tournament.
Despite the criticism Friedman has accumulated life-time poker earnings of over $1.2 million and he was adding to that number last night.
Most of Friedman’s profits came from online player DASHARKMAN11.

On the first day of the current installment of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS), one NLHE tournament marked its launch with the complete destruction of the $1 million guaranteed prize pool. The 6,275 players who came out made it a $1,255,000 pool and set the standard for the rest of FTOPS XI. And when the second and third events took place on Thursday, February 5, the same path was taken with high attendance and shattered prize guarantees.
Event 2 of the series was a $240 + $16 pot-limit Omaha/8 knockout tournament that drew 1,428 players to the virtual felt. Read full

A blog of sorts, a story to be told, the true depth of poker is about to unfold:
Ever since the PCA in Bahamas, I’ve been in the Los Angeles area, and it’s great to stay home for awhile. Traveling half the year can wear on you and it’s easy to forget what’s back at home for you. I’ve been going out with long-time friends a lot more, seeing my family, grinding online tourneys, and watching some great T.V. series haha (all are tough when you’re traveling.)
I turned the big 2-3 a week ago and took a group of friends out to Hollywood for the night which was a blast! We went to this club called “MyHouse” which I’ve never heard of before, but I was told that it was the place to be, so decided to give it a try. It was a weird cl Read full

After being invited to participate in a charity tournament last week, held at the Hard Rock, Trishelle Cannatella and I arrived in Vegas in the late afternoon. After getting ready we went to meet up with Scott Ian, who had also flown in for the event. As we got off the elevator we found Scott standing there with none other than Gene Simmons. Gene was in town for a show and his clothing line launch. After chatting with him for a few minutes we headed over to the poker room where the event was being held.
There we found Scott’s friends, Greg Tribbett from Mudvayne and John Dolmayan from System of a Down along with 2008 WSOP bracelet winner Matt Graham. W Read full
